About the Program

Developing good negotiation skills are a requisite for success in supply management. There is a lot of misunderstanding about the best way to apply these skills in the different situations that the purchaser faces. The objective of this course is to begin to understand these differences and apply the appropriate negotiation tools necessary to accomplish the job efficiently and effectively. Improving success at the negotiating table supports the implementation of supply management strategies and plans of the organization. It also provides the purchaser with a way to convey sourcing requirements to the supply base that facilitate the meeting of cost, quality and delivery objectives and provide increased value to the organization.
